Loofah, also known as Luffah or Luffa, is a common vegetable from the gourd family that is eaten across Asia and Africa. Usually, when Loofah reaches its maturity, it is harvested and used a fruit. Once the Loofah has passed maturity, they used to create Loofah scrubs, sponges or Loofah soaps. Once they are completely dried up, they are stripped of their skin and used as Loofas. Loofa's originally started its use in the kitchen. It was used as a way to clean dishes, counters, etc...
