Is Stress Apart Of Your Dry Skin Problems?

Life has been VERY stressful lately. Covid 19 has thrown a wrench into 2020. This year has been one for the history books! I have been stressed about everything lately. School starting back up, work and all our PPE. Virual Learning is VERY stressful. I have had to work hard to keep my flare ups under control. Stress increases cortisol production from the adrenal gland. This in turn increases sebaceous gland activity which produces more oil and sebum. When this happens, the result can be acne and increased sensitivity of our skin. Stress can also make the skin problems you already have worse. For example, stress can aggravate psoriasis, rosacea, and eczema. It can also cause hives and other types of skin rashes which can trigger a flare-up of fever blisters. To help combact the effects of stress try getting a good night's sleep, watch what you eat and drink, exercise & relax. Always remember to moisturize throught the day. Whether your skin’s reacting to your stress with dryness, redness or a breakout, be sure to stick with a moisturizing routine. It's easy to rush out of the bathroom in the morning without taking the time to moisturize. This can make all the difference. If extra care is taken, a complete routine can help restore your skin’s radiance and texture. this will help to get it back on the right track. We have several products @THEKALMLYFE that help you retain moisture. We have amazing exfoliation soaps, scrubs, body butter and oils. All of our all-natural products work hard to remove dead skin cells and renew and brighten your skin. This helps you reduce inflammtion, redness and breakouts.
